Mission Statement

We are a diverse people who seek to follow Christ with energy,

intelligence, enthusiasm, imagination, and love.

We worship joyfully; celebrating God’s amazing grace, wrestling with God’s Word, discovering how we are called to join Jesus in the style of life He called “the kingdom”.

We are unfinished people who understand growth is essential to meaningful Christian life. We believe life is too difficult to live alone. In community, we pray for and encourage one another; we rejoice with those who rejoice; we weep with those who weep.

We understand Christ Presbyterian Church to be a recycling center, where we who are overwhelmed by God’s grace may join with others in spending ourselves for a world where every human being lives in dignity and Shalom.

—Adopted by the Session, March 12, 1991

CPC welcomes into full fellowship, membership, and leadership all those who confess their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, regardless of race, color, gender, age, physical ability or sexual orientation.

This church has been a member of the More Light Churches Network since 1992.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), the congregation of Christ Presbyterian Church is committed to reaffirming its relationship to God’s creation by demonstrating environmental responsibility as well as by continuing to address human social concern.

—Adopted by the Session, May 26, 1998

CPC is in a mutual relationship with Global Evangelical Church in Kasoa, Ghana, West Africa. Since May 2000, our members have exchanged letters, photos, and videotapes. November 2006 an 11 member Mission Team spent 2 weeks with our Christian brothers and sisters in Ghana.  Our African Drum Ensemble was formed after receiving the drums from these friends in Christ.
